Old Mill Road bridge · Open
Public Works included the bridge on its seasonal inspection list in June 2025. On June 18, 2026, the department set a July overnight closure for bridge-deck repairs.
Watching for: the closure window, detour notice, final scope, and closeout cost.
Talley Ridge Road · Open
The spring resurfacing list provides for spot repairs, not full resurfacing. Residents have also raised shoulder, speeding, school-bus visibility, and blind-curve concerns.
Watching for: the completed spot-repair locations and how the next condition review distinguishes maintenance from a larger capital project.
Capital backlog · Continuing
Cressvale County has an $11.8 million documented backlog across roads, stormwater, emergency communications, and facilities.
The total alone does not show which work is ready, what is maintenance, or what another government may share. The group’s worksheet keeps the original estimate, current estimate, funding source, responsible department, and status together when those fields are available.
Watching for: project-level schedules and closeout figures that remain connected to the original estimate.
Assessment-base growth · Continuing
The county property assessment base grew 7.8 percent. That is a countywide base figure, not the change for every parcel and not a prediction that every tax bill changes by the same percentage.
Watching for: how the adopted operating plan, levy, and assessment base are presented together in the county budget record.

Contract and performance records · Continuing
Contract savings should identify the contract or program reviewed, the previous cost, the recurring change, and the service result. A one-time invoice difference is not automatically an annual saving.
Watching for: a consistent place in the public record where claimed savings and later results can be compared.
How an item closes
“Closed” means the group found the requested public record or the responsible body made a final decision. It does not mean every resident agrees with the outcome. The closing note retains the final date and source description so an old question does not quietly disappear.
