These are working notes from a volunteer group. They record documents discussed, questions assigned, and follow-up status. They are not minutes of the Cressvale County Commission or any other public body.
May 7, 2026 · County Watch work session
Documents on the table: spring resurfacing list, prior Old Mill Road bridge note, capital worksheet.
Discussion: Talley Ridge Road is listed for spot repairs rather than full resurfacing. The worksheet should preserve that distinction. Members also asked that the bridge item remain open until a repair schedule and closeout cost are available.
Follow-up: Update the Old Mill Road entry when Public Works posts the closure window. Keep the $11.8 million backlog total separate from project-ready costs.
February 9, 2026 · Assessment-notice workshop
Purpose: Separate assessed value, countywide assessment-base growth, the adopted levy, and a later tax bill.
Discussion: The county assessment base grew 7.8 percent, but the figure does not describe every parcel. The workshop used a sample notice and did not review individual properties or provide appeal advice.
Follow-up: Publish the workshop notes and retain a list of terminology questions for the next budget worksheet.
January 21, 2026 · Quarterly meeting
Documents on the table: capital-project worksheet, two drainage closeout records, draft assessment workshop outline.
Discussion: Members agreed that a project should retain its original estimate, revised estimate, responsible department, funding source, and completion status in one row whenever the record makes those fields available.
Follow-up: Hold the assessment workshop in February. Revise the worksheet column labeled “savings” so one-time and recurring amounts cannot be combined.
October 23, 2025 · Quarterly meeting
Discussion: Review of the group’s first four years. The original infrastructure-bond spreadsheet now includes assessment questions, drainage projects, and capital closeouts. Members voted to keep resident letters separate from County Watch findings.
Follow-up: Continue quarterly meetings and schedule additional work sessions only when a document set is ready for review.
